Donation Terms and Refund Policy

Thank you for considering a donation to Mazala Foundation through https://mazala.org. We are committed to transparency and accountability in how we manage your generous contributions.

1. Nature of Donations

All donations made via Mazala.org are voluntary contributions to support the conservation of the Gobi bear (Mazaalai) and related environmental and educational initiatives. Donations are not made in exchange for goods, services, or commercial products.

By donating, you:

  • Confirm you are authorized to use the payment method
  • Understand that your donation is a gift made voluntarily
  • Acknowledge and accept the terms of this policy

2. Non-Refundable Policy

Unless otherwise specified in this policy, all donations are final and non-refundable.

This ensures that:

  • Resources can be allocated immediately to conservation efforts
  • Project planning can proceed with funding certainty
  • Administrative and processing costs are minimized

3. Exceptional Refund Cases

Refunds may be issued only in the following limited situations:

  • Duplicate Donations: Accidental repeat donations on the same day
  • Fraudulent Transactions: Proven unauthorized use of your card
  • Technical Errors: Issues caused by malfunction during the payment process (e.g., network glitches, double billing)

If you believe your case qualifies, please email donate@mazala.org within 7 calendar days of the donation. Refunds will be processed via the original payment method when approved.

4. Payment Processing

We use Stripe as our secure and PCI-compliant payment processor. Mazala Foundation does not store full credit card numbers or CVV codes. Your payment data is encrypted and handled by Stripe, subject to their Privacy Policy.

5. Tax Deductibility

Mazala Foundation is a nonprofit initiative based in Mongolia. While some donations may be tax-deductible depending on your jurisdiction, we do not guarantee tax benefits. Please consult your local tax advisor.

Digital receipts will be issued by email automatically after successful transactions.

6. Recurring Donations

If you choose to make a recurring donation:

  • You authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method at the agreed frequency
  • You may cancel anytime by contacting donate@mazala.org or via your donor portal (if available)

Cancellation will prevent future charges but does not refund past transactions.

7. Use of Funds

Your donation will be used at the discretion of Mazala Foundation for:

  • Gobi bear conservation
  • Environmental protection
  • Research and education
  • Operational sustainability of Mazala.org and affiliated campaigns

We commit to transparent financial stewardship and periodic reporting on the use of funds.
